The downloadable Remote Desktop Web Connection ActiveX control provides most of the same functionality as the full Remote Desktop Connection software; however, the Remote Desktop Web Connection is designed to deliver this functionality over the Web. The Software Development Kit for the Microsoft Unified Communications Managed API version 1.0 (UCMA v1.0) includes documentation of the API, sample applications that use the API, and a redistributable package. UCMA v1.0 is an endpoint API that provides the flexibility and scalability required by advanced developers to build and integrate server applications (e.g. alert broadcasting, persistent chat, instant messaging response bots, etc.) into an existing Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 infrastructure.

Jose Barreto is giving more details of what we actually have to expect from Windows Server Core, not a Linux BASH actually, but just a platform with less headache for SysAdmins excluding unnecessary tools, and the capability to almost running any Windows software based on it. Good combination I guess.

Actually there are not much interesting things happening in Iran IT world, but what would happen now and on will be published in my words here in Tech Guru. I'll try introducing some Iranian Top IT Companies also. I guess that would help not only the inner companies but also the outer world to know Iran a bit better.

In recent days, two major Iranian blog service providers, PersianBlog and BlogFA have been under attacks. PersianBlog.com domain name is actually taken over but hopefuly BlogFA.com is still alive. They may better migrate forever to Dot IR domains preventing possible similar attacks.

If you have experience using Bash, the commands look somehow similar to you. Using the idx of Ethernet Interface for your configurations. As of "1" in Windows Server 2008, we got eth1 in Linux. Pretty cool for administrators who are running servers remotely.

VB Team is describing in parts, how they write softwares at Microsoft. I liked the part about document templates:

It is funny that before I came here, I thought that Microsoft (being a huge company) is all about big piles of documentation and heavy processes, weird templates, etc. And you can’t blame me; many companies actually do have those processes, even companies way smaller than Microsoft. So I was really struck when I asked “So, what template should I follow?” and the answer was “Well, whatever works for you”. Of course, there are guidelines, but you aren’t forced to follow them.
